About Spriestersbach Farm Corporation

The 1831 Spriestersbach Family Farm is located in Charlestown, Indiana.

The Spriestersbach Farm Corporation is a charitable foundation created by the generous contributions of George, Eugenia, and Louis Spriestersbach, farmers from Clark County, Indiana. It was the Spriestersbachs' dream to provide educational opportunities about agriculture to Indiana residents, particularly young people.

The 1981 Spriestersbach Family farm is located in Charlestown, Indiana and was most recently owned and operated by Louis Spriestersbach until his passing in 2008 at the age of 90.

Spriestersbach Farm Corporation was created in 2008 with the assistance of the Indiana Farm Bureau, Inc. The Spriestersbach farm was preserved with a conservation easement in conjunction with the George Rogers Clark Land Trust and proceeds of the sale of the farm were used to fund the foundation. Funding is used for grants for educational programs aimed at youth, educators, and the general public.
